Denver-area Muralist - Early Literacy Specialist

Hi! I’m Clair Laustsen, self-made artist, local to the Denver area. I’m also an Early Literacy Specialist and I have a passion for sparking early learning opportunities for parents and their children ages 0-5. I am drawn to spending time outdoors and nature is the main subject of all of my work. The fractal patterns in nature can calm the mind and body, and I bring these patterns inside your home to create a Sacred Space!

I am combining my passion for painting murals with Early Literacy! Each custom Nursery Mural is filled with intention and images that encourage new parents to talk with their children and practice these skills! Sacred Space is a “time-in” for being intentionally present and prompting these moments to talk with your children.

I have created a Chalk Art Club at some local elementary schools as an after school club. These are exclusive opportunities. My intention is to get children outside creating art, playing with chalk, learning art concepts, collaborating, practicing fine and gross motor skills, and exercising critical thinking skills.
